This year, NERSC, Inc. is thrilled to announce our partnership with The Refugee Dream Center of Providence, Rhode Island, for our annual spring conference donation drive.

Founded by the inspirational Dr. Omar Bah, a distinguished NERSC presenter and a resilient refugee from The Gambia, along with his wife Teddi Jallow, The Refugee Dream Center is not just an organization; it's a beacon of hope for those seeking a new beginning. Together, they've created a haven that supports the refugee community at large and provides mentorship for around 150 youth annually.

The center's impact extends across ethnic communities throughout the state of Rhode Island, reaching out to approximately 3,025 refugees facing the challenges of low-income backgrounds from diverse countries of origin. The initial three-month self-sufficiency goal for refugees upon arrival in the United States is often a formidable task, with many struggling to meet it. The real hardships kick in after the initial adjustment period when resources and services become scarce, leaving refugees with limited access to basic human needs.

The Refugee Dream Center is a lifeline for those navigating the intricate path of assimilating into American society. But the journey doesn't end there. The center is on a mission to bridge the gap for refugees, ensuring they don't just survive but thrive in their new homeland.

This year, our goal is to rally the NERSC community in support of this noble cause.
