October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – Let’s Spread the Word!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it’s a perfect time to remind our loved ones—and ourselves—of the importance of early detection. For those of us working in affordable housing, we know how vital it is to support the health and well-being of our communities. Encouraging residents and colleagues to stay on top of regular health screenings, like mammograms, can make a real difference.
Early detection saves lives. Whether it’s through a routine check-up or a scheduled mammogram, taking the time to prioritize health can lead to better outcomes. As Resident Service Coordinators, you can play a key role by sharing resources, raising awareness, and fostering conversations with your residents.
This month, let’s come together and wear pink to show our support for those affected by breast cancer. And most importantly, let’s remind everyone: early detection is better than no detection.
