Understanding Dementia and Managing Challenging Behaviors

This workshop is an introduction to dementia. We will review: the definitions of related terms, causes of dementia, the stages of Alzheimer's, what to do if you or your resident has been diagnosed with dementia, approaches to providing positive effective care to those living with dementia, how to communicate with those with dementia, and how to manage challenging behaviors.
